Sohee has gained reputation as the sassy cute maknae of international sensation Wonder Girls. The young diva is also on her way to creating her own unique fashion taste and preferences.

Sohee’s youthful street fashion has been an on-going topic among her fans. Her outfits, though casual, are never frumpy or overly plain. In the first photo, we see her on the street in an all black ensemble. Her black and white sweater hangs loosely on her lithe frame and pairs nicely with black leggings and sky high platform sandals. Sohee puts on her shades and there she looks like a model on a break.

Song Joong Ki’s Good Guy and Bad Boy Faceoff Looks for High Cut

Song Joongki Korean Fashion

Song Joong ki Korean Fashion

Only a few years back, Song Joong Ki was best known for being a music show MC and an actor with a formidable resemblance to SHINee’s leader Onew. Now with the wrap-up of Joong Ki’s biggest drama Innocent Man, the actor has transformed to a rising star who can transit smoothly from good boy to bad boy.

Song Joong Ki shows off this skill, style-wise, by posing for the December issue of High Cut magazine. He portrays his two opposing charms of good guy and bad boy through a play in light and dark, and a little bit of leather.

To showcase his innocent side, Joong ki went all white and posed with a sleepy expression and a yawn, looking meek and harmless in a white buttoned-up long sleeve shirt with black dots.

In another shot, it shows Joong Ki climbing out of bed, pulling on socks while donning a trench coat, gray sweatshirt, and shorts by Theory Mens, and white sneakers by Common Projects x Theory.

To portray his dark bad boy side, Joong ki slicked his hair back and put on the appropriate colors. Looking at the lens like a bad boy, the actor rocked a navy wash denim shirt by Theory Mens. In another he sported a black turtleneck sweater, skinny jeans, black leather jacket by Theory Mens and black sneakers by Common Projects x Theory.

And they say there are always two sides to a man. Song Joong Ki shows that we should believe that.

Girl’s Day and Hello Venus Greet the New Year in Traditional Hanbok

Girls Day Korean Fashion

Girls Day Korean Fashion

Korean fashion is a hodgepodge of prints, patterns, and colors from influences all over the world as celebrities become more in tune with their inner fashionista. Despite this, the traditional Korean clothing has not lose its flavor, especially in special occasions like the New Year.

Hanbok is the traditional Korean dress worn on holidays such as Chuseok and most recently, the New Year’s celebrations. Even the younger Kpop idols took to wearing the hanbok, and they know how to work at it too.

Members of Kpop idol group Girl’s Day wore the hanbok to wish their fans a Happy New Year! The girls lined up and smiled for a good luck picture. The cheerful colors of the hanbok matched the girls’ youthful vibes—the apple green and fuchsia combination, golden yellow and royal blue printed hanbok, bright red and jade green hanbok and more feminine crisp white and cobalt blue hanbok.

Members of girl group Hello Venus wished their fans good luck in the New Year also sporting the hanbok in colorful versions. Members LimeYoonjo, and Yooyoung posed for a quirky New Year’s greeting, donning hanbok in lime green and fuchsia with gray piping, one in pretty purple with a dainty purple collar with flower embroidery and fur trim, and a yellow and fuchsia hanbok with a black sash.

The modern details and fun colors made the traditional dress look great with the young idols’ colored hairstyles and cute expressions, proving that traditional dress can be a fashion statement too.

Happy New Year!

BoA and SHINee’s Taemin Voting In Fashion

Taemin Korean Fashion

Taemin Korean Fashion

The month of December marked not only winter and Christmas season in Korea, it was also an important time to exercise their voting rights as a citizen. Given that duty though, there is no need for fashion and style to suffer (yes, pun intended). Labelmates BoA and Taemin go out to vote proving this.

BoA Korean Fashion

BoA Korean Fashion

Solo singer and dancer BoA has been to enough elections in her long career, but as always she stepped out in her signature chic style. The idol bowed her head and tried to hide her face from prying paparazzi. Her dark outfit seemed designed to blend in as well, but BoA is not someone easy to miss.

BoA Korean Fashion

BoA swathed her lithe frame with shiny-finish dark skinny jeans. The sexy look ended with modest heeled ankle leather boots. She kept warm with a structured black two-button jacket with leather panel details  and a studded black cap.

Taemin Korean Fashion

It was SHINee’s Taemin’s first time to participate in the presidential elections. The nation’s favorite maknae dressed to look the part of the grown up that he is quickly becoming. Taemin wore a long black buttoned coat over a short beige knit sweater. His white collared shirt underneath was tucked securely into his washed dark jeans.

Unlike BoA, Taemin ditched the hat and displayed his signature mushroom hairdo, and wore the signature SHINee black combat boots.

Apparently election booths, just like airports, are as good avenues as any for awesome idol style street fashion.

Younique’s Henry and Eunhyuks’ Tribal Gear

It’s been a while since SM Entertainment’s dance unit Younique ruled the floor with their debut sound, but their distinct tribal fashion remains cutting edge.

Dancing kings Eunhyuk and Henry of Super Junior fame are two of the hot idols in the Maxstep music video.  Apart from showing off their stellar moves, the boys also wowed with their unique take on the tribal gear trend.

Eunhyuk accessorizes his long neck with a statement piece. The KTZ Masai Leather Necklace featured a full collar in black leather with yellow, blue, maroon and pink tribal print and circular buckle detail, with black metal studs to complete. Wear it over a plain black ensemble and slicked back hair and already you are the star of the show.

Henry showed no fashion restraint though. The Super Junior M celebrity went all out tribal, starting with a KTZ Church Printed Oversized T-shirt. Black, full sized yet graceful on the body, the shirt featured a stark white church-themed print.

He paired the already bold shirt with an even bolder piece—a skirt! The brand KTZ spared no look for this collection, coming up with a red tartan print long skirt that wraps around the front. Going past his knees and worn over red knitted leggings, with the shirt and a black fur collar jacket, Henry rocked this winter-themed ensemble. It might have been difficult to dance in though. But it’s a challenge isn’t it?

Jung Yonghwa’s Uber-Chic Look In Uniform

Jung Yonghwa Korean Fashion

Jung Yonghwa Korean Fashion

Korean group CNBlue has made its name in the industry with an indie vibe mixed with the right amount of sugar pop. But admittedly the deepest stamp to fan girls’ hearts was the group’s dynamic and playful personalities. Leader Jung Yonghwa is no exception to this, however for a winter pictorial for Singles magazine, he chose to expose his more serious side.

Military service of 2 years is compulsory for every Korean man at the prime of their adulthood and idols are no exception. This is also one of the most anxiety-causing period in a celebrity’s life. What’s a better way to prepare for it than dressing up fashionably to the theme?

Jung Yonghwa does exactly this. He puts aside his sunny prankster personality for a more somber look in Singles magazine, where he oozes a high dosage of chic charisma in this military-themed fashion spread.

In the headliner shot, Yonghwa had his eyes lined with black eye-liner and gives a strong look at the camera. He wears a full body three-button military coat over an iron-crisp white shirt with a navy collar and classic-cut navy tie sporting the number 7. He wears a slim leather belt with a brass five-point star, the belt extending to cross his torso. Yonghwa sits cross-legged, with an embellished military hat on his head and ring on his finger.

Another picture shows Yonghwa stands in full length in one shot, hair tousled and high, giving a modern take on the classic military man’s suit. Pressed, fully buttoned, and artfully decorated with two medals on his breast pocket, the coat reveals only his high white collar and white cuffs. His dark gray pants taper fluidly down to shiny leather boots.

What is your take on Yonghwa’s sombre military style? See more of him in this concept in the December issue of Singles Magazine.

So Ji Sub is a Homme Fatale

So Jisub Korean Fashion

So Jisub Korean Fashion

Some say a man is sexiest when he is in a suit. Some say a dangerous man is the most attractive of all. What happens though when actor So Ji Sub becomes both?

On November 15th issue of High Cut magazine, So Ji Sub was transformed into a homme fatale playing with forbidden love. The handsome actor accomplished the look with the sleek styling of Ralph Lauren suits and shirts, pulled together by watches and jewels from Cartier.

In a photo from the pictorial spread, Ji Sub looks pensively out the windows, firm hand drawing the light curtains of his hotel room, dressed to the nines in a black label Ralph Lauren suit with crisp lines and cuffs and classic slim cut black tie. His tousled hair and over-sized Cartier watch pulled the look from bedroom to boardroom.

Shot on location in a beach hotel in Hawaii, Jisub optimized the use of his room by exploring all corners, draped meticulously in sleek men’s fashion. One picture sees him sprawled on the floor, leaning on the bed, white shirt open and untucked over black suit pants. Jisub poses again near the hotel window, this time his handsome face in full view, trading in the suits with a comfortable gray shirt. His Cartier watch remains the only accessory he needs.

The clincher picture though is one in which the actor posed undoing a woman’s brassiere, the mystery lady’s face hidden from view. The pictorial accomplished the overall feel of a home fatale and a fashionable man, minimalistic yet attractive, wearing a timeless and classic suit and watch.
