The lovely girls of SNSD (also known as Girls’ Generation) are back in the Japanese charts with their new music video for All My Love Is For You. This is the second track off their Japanese single due for release September 26th.
All My Love Is For You is a beautiful ballad that showcases each member’s distinct vocals, sure to capture the hearts of their many fans. The girls’ fashion on the video is also certain to capture interest, as they sport a reincarnation of 1980’s fashion.
Anyone who has grown up to Madonna’s Borderline and Like A Virgin days will find these clothes reminiscent of that vibe, but as the Korean fashionistas that they are, the girls of SNSD bring their unique charms to the updated, pretty 80’s grunge look.
Member and visual Yoona sports a dark faded wash denim cut off vest over fish net sleeves, which she pairs with high-waisted, shiny black liquid leggings. Dancing with her in shot above is maknae Seohyun, who wears a simpler, sleeker silhouette with a black sleeveless, open-front shirt with black above-knee cut-offs.
Black Pearl Yuri takes the signature 80’s cutout shirt to new levels, wearing a daring light gray shirt with full front cutouts over a midriff baring black sleeveless shirt. She finishes the look with lettered black and white leggings.
Tiffany is the picture of pretty with her auburn hair held up with a black bow. Her style is ladylike in a white quarter-sleeve collared shirt over a black sweetheart dress with a full short netted skirt. She wears this over short lace leggings.
Sunny plays around with Jessica in most of the shots, her sassy cool look a good contrast to Jessica’s sweet style. Sunny wears a black jacket with mesh sleeves over a short black top, her firm belly exposed and accented with a wide belt with a flat gold buckle. She finishes her look with black hot pants, and in some shots, a black bowler hat.
Jessica rocked polka dots in her sheer-sleeved blouse with a gold-fringed corset top and a full short net skirt. Her interesting play on textures and contrast works well, and is complete with her fish net stockings.
Statuesque Sooyoung looked rocker-sporty in her white denim short-sleeved vest with collar and adorned with buttons. She wore this over a black, short-sleeved top with net details in the upper panel, paired with slim short black cutoffs.
Lead dancer Hyoyeon layers a sheer net paneled top over printed, midriff shirt, showing off her toned abs. She completes the sassy paneled look with her black slim pants.
SNSD leader Taeyeon completes the pack, wearing the most interesting printed shirt of the bunch. It is a black loose fitting tee adorned with gold beads and patterns, fit over fishnet sleeves and worn with sheer black cutoffs.
Some of the girls completed the signature look with loose corkscrew curls and the adornment of black bows, an updated, more muted take on the big 80’s blown out hairstyles. All of them were rocking the chunky heeled black leather boots, paired with either black fishnets, sheer tights or striped high socks.
The overall look is tough and chic, sassy and sweet, and you can easily pull out your favorite pieces from SNSD’s style and incorporate it with your own. Then you too can be pretty in 80’s grunge, the SNSD way.
