Just saw Secret Garden & a GREAT job was done in creating the mood & personality of each character, even the mothers. And, what a beautiful country! This, my first time Korean drama, got me interested in learning abut the S. Korean culture and people. I’m amazed at what this country has been through. Today, they have much to be thankful for and proud of. So, I’m somewhat puzzled at this desire for an androgynous appearance among male Koreans and the barbie doll look among females. I do note that Hyun Bin, no matter what hairstyle he’s sporting, looks like a Korean M-A-N. But many young stars look so much like each other that you can’t tell them apart; many take the plastic surgery too far and no longer look like men but girls and the girls look like plastic dolls – typifying androgynous children. Korea is full of healthy, naturally RUGGED men and beautiful women. It almost seems as if young Koreans are spitting on their looks & ancestry, which is so unique and not worthy of androgyny..,
