Chinese-Korean collaborations in entertainment is becoming more frequent recently. From the initial acceptance of K-pop idols within the Chinese music industry to Korean actors and idols venturing into Chinese dramas and films.
A recent venture of sort is Hur Jin Ho’s Chinese film, Dangerous Liaisons which featured Chinese superstars Cecilia Cheung and Zhang Ziyi, with Korea’s favorite leading man Jang Dong Gun. The A-list casts attended a star-studded VIP premiere of the movie at the Yeouido CGV Theater in Seoul, South Korea on October 11. The stars were greeted enthusiastically by fans, and as always, events like these are the perfect opportunity to showcase their fashion instincts.
Lead actress Cecilia Cheung and K-pop star Yoona of SNSD wore outfits that were poles apart for the premiere.
Cecilia wowed Korean fans with a long sky blue sheer gown that fit her elegantly. Though it sported a trailing skirt and a full sleeve, the daring neckline and the sheer fabric decorated with sprays of delicate beads made the dress far from conservative and made it appropriately sexy.
Yoona was one of many Korean stars that graced the event. She opted for a more casual take with metallic gray short outfit to make her look more appropriate for the event’s theme. The pop star sashayed down the red carpet in a black sweater with silver thread detailing paired with a metallic brocade mini skirt. She completed her hip yet formal look with dark stockings and dark heels.
If you can go long or short in a formal event, which type would you wear?
